Our Engineering Services division was established in February 2005 and has proven to be one of our largest and fastest growing business units. We're now looking for a high-impact player with proven experience in implementing technology into production processes who can take ownership of major projects (primarily within the aerospace industry), evaluate our existing processes and aggressively drive improvements by implementing COTS (customer off the shelf) products or internally created applications that will help us realize our productivity targets.
"Making it happen" is the mission statement for this role and you'll provide the hands-on leadership necessary to ensure projects are properly defined and documented and then support their successful execution.
Our Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in related field or an equivalent combination of education & experience.
5-7 years of hands-on experience implementing technology into production processes.
Working knowledge of XML, Java, XSLT, XSL-FO & DQL.
Solid project management skills.
Impeccable oral and written communication skills.
Strong multi-tasking capabilities with the ability to work well under pressure in a dynamic environment.
Aerospace industry experience is strongly preferred - automotive industry experience is also applicable.
Preferred but not required:
Experience with ATA iSpec 2200.
Experience with S1000D.

More About Your Role
Reporting to the Vice President of Engineering Services, you'll oversee 4-5 Data Engineers as you join us at our Phoenix office. As you can imagine, this is a hit the ground running position and we'll expect you to accomplish the following goals by the end of the first year:
Drive process improvements that aim to attain at least a 10% productivity gain through the use of technology.
Develop (hire & train) a team that can achieve those productivity targets.
Establish credibility and develop good working relations with cross-functional teams.
Showcase subject matter expertise within the aerospace domain and communicate that expertise within the organization.
